How long does it take to move in to your home once you have chosen a property with Home Partners of America Lease with the Option To Purchase Program?
I get this question quite a bit because many people understand the Lease with the Right To Purchase Program but want to know how long it will take them to move in. What is the time line to move in?
First let's take in to consideration that there are several factors which can have an effect on your move in timeline. When is the closing date? Does the seller want a long closing date? Are there any repairs that need to be performed? How much make ready is needed to get this ready for you?
With all those factors taken in to consideration the average move in time from the time the property is under contract can be as quick as 5 weeks to 7 weeks, it just depends. Typically if there are three weeks for closing, give Home Partners another 2 weeks for them to get the property ready. Again this can be adjusted for closing... in case the closing time is slower or faster. Also if the property has minimal repairs two weeks of make ready is appropriate however if the list of repairs is long then it would go up from there.
My tips for someone interested in moving in sooner would be to choose a property which is in move in condition with minimal make ready needed. Typically I have seen properties clients chose to be properties that are ready for move in and full of TLC. I will give lots fo credit to Home Partners as they have a quick closing process and their make ready team is excellent as well.
